Convenient to think his woke AI needs a government moat. Maybe the danger is centralization of AI, and competing ones will mitigate the downside.

honestly, AI has never worried me as regards the working or economic sector, in any case sooner or later this problem would arise, what I would like to understand is if the development of this technology could go out of control and be dangerous for the man

My guess at the real reason for the government stepping in to AI regulation is about the coordination of information proving popular narratives false. Once you can consolidate this much information, and have AI that can provide computational models with said data, in an unbiased manor, one can assume lies can easily be countered using real factual data. One can no longer lie if anyone can fact check any information, with unbiased data, formed in such a way that there can be only one logical outcome.
No doubt. The "safety" they are talking about is their own.
