I thought WoS was dead in the US? I just opened it up.. found and zapped some sats. Did Trump derisk custodial services in the US or something?

It doesn't count as "being back" until you find it in the main app stores.

Seems like it is just restricted from receiving/generating invoices in app. I still see residual sats zapped to mine and seems like those can be sent

You can’t download or update, and you need a VPN to send or receive

When you tal Receive it says you can't because of location. I switched to Minibits.
