reminds you of how Google are forced, in Russia to show illegally invaded Crimea as part of Russia. And in China, showing Taiwan as part of China.
Is that Trump‘s ambition? to put the US in that group of authoritarian countries, who unilaterally declare changes and force Google to reflect their false view, ONLY to users within their own borders.
Interesting reading that obviously Gulf of Mexico is the internationally recognised name and it is also mentioned in centuries of treaties around borders, fishing rights, oil drilling rights and things like that. It cannot be unilaterally renamed by the US and the US must continue to legally refer to it as the Gulf of Mexico, for any dealings with the WTO, UN, anything having and legal weight in court.
An embarrassment.
