Ok, eventually I got rid of spam on #damus too and I also made sure I’m not missing DMs (except for the gift-wrapped ones of course which should be the only ones you use) by adding these three relays in addition to my six wot-relays:

wss://inbox.nostr.wine

wss://relay.0xchat.com

wss://auth.nostr1.com

So far everything works fine and the experience is clean.

nostr:npub1tm99pgz2lth724jeld6gzz6zv48zy6xp4n9xu5uqrwvx9km54qaqkkxn72 does your relay transmit only DMs or are you pro-actively filtering spam?

Our relay receives other events, but has already blocked the replyguy.

But there is a lot of other ongoing spam on Nostr at the moment other than the ReplyGuy. Replies with nonsense-content (not from the ReplyGuy), a lot of replying impersonators etc. To test my setup I took an iPhone and started #Damus which doesn’t implement the Outbox-Model, right? I have six wot-relays now plus two inbox-relays and yours and I can’t see none of the spam.

We have blocked most of the spam not only from ReplyGuy. It seems to be working for now.

I can assure you it works. There are paid relays out in the wild which seem to not be able to get this job done. Won’t pay for nostr.wine anymore until they fix it.

I’m not sure what you’re talking about. Our paid relay has no spam on it.

As soon as I add your relay, spam appears immediately. I’m sorry. Just tested it again.

There’s definitely spam coming from your relay.

Ok, looks good now. Strange…
