Tried to pay you just now and seems like an awesome first step is get a Primal app, sign in with nostr private key.

Tap the lightning symbol on the center bottom (mobile only). Sign up and respond to this message so I can pay you some bitcoin :).

Be aware, this bitcoin is not in your own custody yet and you have to fill in your name. Still it’s a great first step. You can tackle self custody and privacy later. Don’t wait on that and just do it quickly after.

My experience was that I let the ‘complexity’ scare me and have me wait unnecessarily long. Learn from my mistake if you can.

Thank you for the advice. I have just tried Satoshi Wallet and have added my details to my profile. I think this can work too?

Awesome work! I don’t have experience with wallet of satoshi but here’s what I found on the questions I would ask on chatgpt:

1. **Purchase of Bitcoin**:

- Yes, you can purchase Bitcoin directly through the Wallet of Satoshi app. The app partners with MoonPay for these purchases, which means you'll be redirected to MoonPay to complete the transaction.

2. **Base Chain or Lightning Network**:

- The Bitcoin you purchase using Wallet of Satoshi will be primarily available on the **Lightning Network**. However, the app supports both Lightning and on-chain Bitcoin transactions, allowing you to send or receive Bitcoin either on the Lightning Network or the Bitcoin main chain as needed.

3. **KYC (Know Your Customer)**:

- **KYC is required** when purchasing Bitcoin through Wallet of Satoshi. You’ll need to provide personal information such as your name and address to complete the purchase, as required by MoonPay.

4. **Custodial vs. Self-Custodial**:

- Wallet of Satoshi is a **custodial wallet**. This means that you do not have control over the private keys to your Bitcoin, which are managed by the wallet provider. While this makes the wallet easy to use, it also means that you don’t have full control over your funds, which is a significant consideration for many Bitcoin users.

In summary, Wallet of Satoshi is a custodial wallet that facilitates Bitcoin purchases with KYC requirements and supports both on-chain and Lightning transactions, with a primary focus on the Lightning Network [oai_citation:4,Wallet of Satoshi | The World's Simplest Bitcoin Lightning Network Wallet](https://www.walletofsatoshi.com/) [oai_citation:3,Wallet of Satoshi: What is it and How does it work?](https://blog.areabitcoin.co/wallet-of-satoshi/) [oai_citation:2,Wallet of Satoshi: The ultimate wallet for beginners?](https://zonebitcoin.co/en/wallet-of-satoshi-the-ultimate-wallet-for-beginners/) [oai_citation:1,Wallet of Satoshi: Reviewing the Custodial Lightning Wallet](https://block-pilot.com/reviews/wallet-of-satoshi/).

It should be able to work for lightning and base chain transactions. For nostr you would need to make a separate wallet if you use primal. On Damus you can use nostr wallet connect. I dont know if WoS is possible with Nostr wallet connect though
