I would not start with Mrs. Dalloway if your attention span has been shot lately. There aren’t natural stopping points. Maybe try something with shorter chapters, short stories, or a collection of essays? What are some of your favorite books? Maybe I can recommend something.

the last book i read that i stuck with and really enjoyed was giovanni’s room by james baldwin, on a friend’s recommendation.

i’d like to read something newer, but i don’t know where to start

Ooo I haven’t read that but damn it looks good.

Do you want to stick with fiction? And written more recently or set more recently?

fiction, for sure, and something published recently. an author that’s not long dead would be nice!

Such a Fun Age by Kiley Reid; her debut novel published in 2019. It’s an easy read while also being thought provoking and very timely.

i will definitely check it out. thanks for the suggestion!

Cool there’s a #bookstr
