How many of these are bots?
Discussion
This charts a bit old, but anyway... So I assume the bots don't bother adding bios or contacts really (yellow). The red or blue is probably the real users. Since basically everyone I know is a bitcoiner, I assume that so many less accounts have LNURLS enabled (orange) because Chinese and HKers are using it for free speech, but haven't been orange-pilled, yet... But...yesterday on my global feed I saw some Chinese "Bitcoin Maxis"(their words) talk about "Cantillionaires"(also their words) (Amethyst has a translate feature now) so the Asian users (which are the bulk of nostr, even after removing the bots) may get slowly orange pulled via Nostr.

Just listening to Kevin and Vitor podcast, and I believe I heard it is trivial to add bio info via eg chatgpt or another method. It is also easy to do same to get a free WOS LNURL.
At the moment, it seems like it's not being done yet, bots emulating people. I suppose the benefits would be that if you get added, you appear on the feed as well as on global. So far, they just have bots register for an npub and absolutely carpetbomb the global until they are blocked by all the major clients. And then repeat. Many clients now do an abridged global feed which is a network consisting of "your friends, and friends of friends, and friends of friends of friends." Because of this, bots will soon definitely have to adapt to be added. But I haven't seen anything sophisticated at all yet.
