I wish I could be so optimistic. but, as every good shitshow, it's all just a performance. they can't implement a change overnight, so they create situations, excuses, narratives, even if it costs lives, to justify this change. imho, industrial capitalism, market capitalism, will all end up as surveillance capitalism and stakeholder statism. industries will be robotized, automated, just like marx also predicted. maybe that's why they make sure to hide his last writings, of his late anarchist phase, and schwab has a lenin bust in his office. not only to justify but also to conquer sympathy, create the sensation of hope and consequent approval from those who previously resisted. in the end, it's all about interoperability between economic blocks, between brics and the EU and mercosul and nafta and back to brics. of course, the US State weakens a bit, but it doesn't lose power. the field levels between the US and china. north american billionaires, however, will become trillionaires. while north american plebs will have the same future as singaporean plebs: surveillance, control, and submission. that good old story of ww2: same banksters sponsoring both sides, win-win game.
Discussion
btw, great book.
Yes this can very well be the case, exactly as you described it.
We have to push otherwise of course, if and when we can. But we have to be aware of the 'choices' first.
fugere urbem, the only choice we have, I'm afraid. at least to try any kinda resistance.
I have done this already. It is some kind of relief indeed. Worth the effort in my opinion. Far from a complete solution though. Authority's devastating tentacles can reach rural areas too.
not only can, they will. that's why I've put emphasis on "try" haha better any hope than none at all.
