That sucks. You know I've talked to more than one person that's all about the "Web 3” and "Bitcoin is slow", and it's shocking how almost all of them have never heard of:

Sad really.

ETH has had more than SIXTY MILLION failed transactions.

That's up 4 million since November 19th.

Noisy Bat Guano. 🔊🦇💩

Any idea how much fees paid in total for failed transactions?

Hmm. 🤔 I'm looking at Blockchair transaction data. I'll have to look.

I could scrape and aggregate eventually, but 60 million rows on a spreadsheet might really suck.

I'll see if I can interpolate or make generalizations; or do recent aggregations. Please stand by.

In a recent ten minute chunk of time, 381 ETH transactions just failed. ETH has failed 60,006,000 transactions at the time of note.

If we interpolate that as a representative ten minutes:

ETH has cumulatively failed to send $202 Billion dollars in value, yet costing fees of $581.5 million.

The numbers per minute, hour, and day, are kinda fun too.

Best I can do. Google sheets limits to 40k rows, and I've got more fiat mining to do today. ⛏️

Wow nice info

Thanks. 🙏

Fun to do when I have the time.

The BSV empty block miner was likewise enjoyable schadenfreude data in his heydays.

Why do you have to use it for transfers?
