I'm really into the idea of the fairphone and it's easy repairability, but i'm equally interested in the privacy and security offered by Graphene OS, but the pixel hardware kinda sucks for longevity... I've heard some people have managed to get Graphene OS running on Fairphone but it's borked... anyone here with experience?

I wish I could have the best of both worlds 😅

Have you considered Calyx OS? It is officially available for Fairphone 5; https://calyxos.org/install/devices/FP5/

I've heard about Calyx OS, but I have no experience or very little knowledge about it, I kinda disregarded it when they stood against Richard Stallman a few years back. But I guess if the software is good and open source then it's possible to seperate the quality of the product from the personal views of the developers 🤷🏻‍♂️ maybe it's a good middle ground, do you have experience with it?
