Only in the US. Because of the global Cantillon effect due to US dollar being the reserve currency. A lot of that wealth was pulled from the rest of the world in exchange for paper.

Another anomaly that stems from fiat US dollar as the global reserve is an average American being able to obtain a 30 year fixed rate mortgage... this is not possible in any country that can't print the global reserve currency as it would collapse their banking system or currency very quickly.
