I like the “Bitcoin fixes this” as a meme but I’m loosely attached to it. I truly believe that the people doing the real proof of work in tools like bitcoin, nostr, and to some extent in monero would be fine if those tools didn’t exist. It would be a struggle, but we’d find ways around it. Whether it’s real estate or gold, we’d find ways to live freer than the normies and sheep. It’s just these tools make our lives much easier, give us a lot more options, and the proof of work is more rewarding.

It’s interesting to me that the people I know who have sworn by it, but still have a trainwreck of a life, also spent years in therapy as well. Does that mean they’re not trying hard enough? Like at some point you have to say that you’re the problem and these interventions are useless because you don’t want to change 🤷♂️
