I don't understand how these legacy social media platforms seem to pay so many people either.

You don't make more from zaps?

Maybe you need to interact more, comment on other people's notes. Most of my sats come from comments on other people's notes.

I haven’t made a single dollar from zaps… that was by choice as I put every zap I recieve back into nostr but even if I had it wouldnt come close to how much I’ve put into the nostr ecosystem in zaps (from my own bitcoin wallets)

I should clarify that Instagram itself didn’t pay me, it was more a hyperbole to speak to how cut off I am from my actual community that was very irl on that platform

I suppose it’s different in the professional sports world bc there is a lot of real world interaction but still
