Corporations and the state using their strength to appropriate information is nothing new, but most people get used to their legitimacy. It's hard to understand that their agenda is not just to sell products or run a country, but to avoid dissent or cultural disruption. The only solution is to break their power locally, which can start with the continual stream of education these new public interactions can bring.
