So true! It is part of the process. I was really happy with Primal most of the time and now it is unusable for me, because I can’t see my notifications. So I am jumping between Damus and noStrudel.

noStrudel is my favourite desktop client. Apart from that I use Amethyst which works very well for me too. (no iPhone).
