Nostr has the potential to recreate the internet. From git to email, from CDN to DNS, and web and application servers. I just don't believe this effort should be done in a generic way. I can't see a solution without the specialization of relays and clients. The internet was built this way. A DNS relay cannot accept regular note events, for example. A DNS query cannot search for events in relays that aren't DNS-specific.
