The only sane known way to have android push notifications that are FOSS and google-free.
That is really nice. Does this mean that I can use https://github.com/mollyim/mollyim-android-unifiedpush instead of https://github.com/mollyim/mollyim-android ?
Ah I see that molly im android unified push is a fork of molly im android. I'll try the unified push version.
Sorry, I missed your question. Don't do it. It's had highly experimental and requires setting up with something called "mollysocket" on a server you control.
I managed to do it, but it's not trivial so I don't recommend that you try it unless you like tinkering.
