Stack Overflow rewards strict rules and points; it’s great for quick fixes but unfriendly to exploration. Quora rewards engagement and ads; catchy posts beat careful ones. Both are closed and hard to trust long term.

We need open data, trust and reputation, clear ranking, and rewards—not just the first answer or what goes viral.

If we align incentives around usefulness, reputation and maintenance—not ad clicks or gamified points—we’ll get less quantity and more quality in an healthier contributor ecosystem.

Building on an open protocol provides data portability; zaps give skin-in-the-game.
