Elon axed link card previews because he envisions a future state of the platform where links become unnecessary, since everything you’d want to see is already on “X.”
This is dangerous, greedy, and ultimately stupid.
With a little polish, nostr seems (I think) to be the best way forward.

100% -- I think it's a few permutations away from being something attractive to normies. Whether it'll ever get there or not, who knows. I'm just convinced that I should be using it above anything else.
