It seems time is speeding up as we get older (or is it just me?). There‘s the theory that the perception of the velocity of time is dependent on how well one knows the surroundings/situation one’s in.

You might be feeling the mortality that is this human life more as time goes by.

I feel like the world is moving faster right now. What it really is doing is shifting poles.

When you're 5 and add a year to your life, that's 20% of your whole existence, a huge chunk!

When you're 50 and add a year to your life, that's 2% of your whole existence...Not really all that much.

Time becomes less significant as you get older.

Interesting point pf view, because I feel it exactly the opposite way. As a boy, I had endless time at hand, while now as an adult I have to make every minute count because there‘s so much I want to do and I feel like there‘s so little time available.

Sounds like you're trying to justify your own life by your own works.

Rather that there‘s so much to see & experience in this world.

Our life’s work defines who we are.

Maybe, interesting point of view. The changes currently around us certainly have a larger magnitude & bearing on us than the ones ten years ago. At least they feel like that to me.
