Did you know when we first started doing our block parties, we didn’t invite solo miners? At this moment, we have 142 active workers hooked up to CKPool for our next attempt to mine a block, this Saturday, July 19.

Our initial block parties were made up solely of plebs buying hashrate at auction. Then, we let in an army of Bitaxes we now call the Alliance! Because plebs demanded it, we then added hashrate direct buys. This lets anyone YOLO in without having to play the auction game.

So while many of our users join the party with solo miners like Heatbits, Bitaxes, Braiins Mini Miners, Apollos, and even an Ofen from 21energy—you totally don’t need this. Yes, it’s good to join the home mining renaissance in this way! But if that’s not your thing, you can always just join by buying hashrate. Or you can do both.
