Money laundering, Terrorism, CP, Unlicensed this or that, etc. These are all code words for, "What we are attacking is not necessarily unlawful, but is rather a danger to our status quo. So they must become unlawful."

The people who make the rules in fiat society are not bound to those rules. Arguing within their domain and seriously addressing the points they make is a losing battle, because they will always move the goalposts and use the corrupt in-justice system to get the result they want.
