I see a lot of negative takes on Mob/Ensemble programming by people who have never done it or even watched it done. Here are a couple time-lapse videos (from Hunter Industries, where the technique was created) showing mobbing in action. Puts some of the mythology to rest to actually see it. Note, for example, how everybody is working, not just the person typing. Also note how people come and go throughout the day, but the work goes on.
