I see a different outcome. The smart will stick to 80-90's tech. Will repair stuff and reject new tech. AI will be banned in homes or smart people. The few able to build fix and repair will be valued more than gold. The others will just keep being slaves as before

Not how life works either. People just do what the world tells them to. If corporations are using AI so will the people.

I don't. In my intranet google, microsoft and all their tool are banned. Most of the tech here is unconventional a mix of digital and analog with reliability as first goal. Nothing breaks. Stuff here lasts 30-40 years. Everything can be repaired, is repaired and there are spare parts. Stupid people do what corporations say. Not one of my friends do. I have my own cloud, my own chat server, my own VPN and my own hardware modified phone. Of course that requires some knowledge and is not for all.
