Scientific exploration should not be a career, it should be a hobby, a passion, a lifestyle. It should not be funded by taxpayers but by wealthy individuals.

Also of interest, he talks about how scientists don't like publishing in journals, and they do like preprint servers and even places like substack. I think a nostr-based website setup for scientists to publish without the journal bullshit (and even the preprint server bullshit) that provides the features that scientists are looking for, would be a great next-idea for nostr.
