I've been playing around with the wallet and have a few questions:

1. Do I need to fund the channel before I can use it? I was under the impression that you could use ecash until a sufficient balance was in the wallet?

2. Any tips for adjusting default settings to optimize?

3. Is it possible to create a Zeus lightning address? And if yes, do I have to be online to receive sats?

I've just linked Zeus to my lightning node now and you do need to setup a funding channel before you can use it. The prices for LSPs vary with Zeus being the most expensive.

I have a link to some awesome lightning resources which I will link once I go to my PC.

Not real familiar with zeus, but pretty sure the ecash thing is still in testing mode, and hasnt been pushed out to the regular app stores yet.

There is not many recent tutorial videos out there… I was looking at some Zeus ones just yesterday… mine is hooked up to my node with funded channels but haven’t played with the Zeus ecash yet.

dont know about the ecash stuf but i think its still being tested. about the lnaddress yes you can set it in the wallet and you can receive when you come back online, theres is a time limit of 24h or something, for the sender its a bit annoying because it looks like they payment didnt went throught.

1) No, you can use on-chain or ecash without a channel in the v0.11 beta. We’ll prompt you to upgrade with a channel when it becomes economically viable for you

2) What do you want to optimize for?

3) In v0.11 we have three Lightning address types. NWC for remote nodes. Zaplocker for self-custodial zaps to your node in the phone. Cashu addresses. You don’t need to have ZEUS open to accept payments for any of these address types.
