A while back I complained about Figma moving all drafts to teams.

After some back and forth with one of their employees, it turned out I was part of an AB test where only some people saw this change.

Upon updating Figma, I still had to move my drafts and could use them as always BUT, Figma implemented a dark pattern when you now have to select an obscure drop-down to create a new draft. Simply clicking NEW, pushed you to a paid tier. This is a dark pattern by the definition of dark patterns. Sleazy af.

I have little doubt the next phase is to remove free drafts entirely. You see, they stick it to you step by step so you don’t complain horribly. “Well, this sucks, but AT LEAST…” step by step enshitification.
