Private / invite-only groups, forums, discord/matrix -type clients is sadly currently absent on nostr. I assume someone is working on this and look forward to that release :)

I was in a community chat elsewhere with some people who had already left discord, were currently on guilded, but were looking for a new home after Roblox bought guilded. There wasn't really a nostr option, think they're off to matrix ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
