A dog with power, firm in command,

Made the monkeys dance on demand.

They danced for crumbs, they danced in fear,

Bound by promises they’d never clear.

But some grew wise, began to see,

The dog’s control was but decree.

"Without our dance, his power fades,

Freedom lies where choice is made."

The lesson here, sharp and true:

No ruler reigns without your cue.

Stop the dance, leave the stage,

Freedom’s born when you disengage
