My fiat job is all project-based meaning I can legitimately make anywhere from $30k - $150k depending on the year and a lot of different circumstances (like covid, union strikes, etc).
And I know high-earning friends living paycheck to paycheck, and modest earning friends traveling the world. The biggest, happiest family I knew growing up made significantly less than ours did. And the wealthiest person I’m related to was married three times and his whole family will remember him as a dick - he only has any relationship at all with them because he pays for a vacation for everyone once a year.
I’ve learned that there’s nothing more respectable than hard honest work, but there’s nothing more lucrative than screwing everyone over again and again and buying the politicians to keep everything you’re doing legal.
Life is not and will never be fair
But I’ve learned money is just a tool and it can only help you secure happiness if you have good values, a good plan, good sense, and a good team
