Got the wild lemon cleaner in the works. We’ll see how it turns out in 6-8 weeks

Poncirus trifoliata, aka The Flying Dragon tree is a cold tolerant lemon, down to USDA 6, apparently. Grows wild here in SC

It’s edible, but it hurts my stomach, however my wife can eat it. It’s extremely acidic. You can smell these things from yards away, should satisfy Consuela.

Does it smell more like orange or lemon?

Like a REALLY sweet lemon - it’s incredible honestly you can smell them in your feet

Man I wish I could just find some in the woods πŸ˜‚

They grow in floodplains here

Very interesting. Sun requirement?

Pretty low, this one is in an old growth hardwood forest and has a hundred or so lemons probably. The tree is big though, 20x15, it’s a huge thorned bush really

It may grow there
