Hello #Nostr Community!

We often discuss various topics and exchange ideas here, and today I would like to delve into the realm of democracy.

I recently came across an intriguing proposal for a new democratic system that aims to address some of the challenges we face in our current political landscape.

In this proposed system, citizens would be randomly selected to form decision-making assemblies for specific issues. For instance, imagine being chosen at random to participate in discussions and decisions regarding your country's pension system. If selected, your name would go into a "hat" where the assembly members would be randomly chosen once again.

The primary objectives of this system are threefold:

- Empowerment and Dignity: By providing opportunities for participation, it seeks to give agency and dignity to every individual.

- Equal Distribution of Political Power: Through random representation, the system aims to ensure that political power is distributed equally, allowing for diversity and inclusive participation.

- Harnessing Collective Wisdom: By channeling the collective knowledge and experiences of a diverse group, the system encourages deliberation to find common ground and shape decisions collaboratively.

Now, I'm really curious to hear your thoughts on this proposed democratic model.

What do you think about the benefits it offers?

Can you see potential challenges or drawbacks?

Would you personally embrace such a system?

Do you consider it viable and practical in our society?

Please feel free to share your opinions, concerns, and any insights you may have. Let's engage in a respectful and constructive discussion, exploring the pros and cons of this new democratic approach .

I look forward to reading your responses and learning from the collective wisdom of our vibrant community!
