Intuitively speaking here, the inefficiency of electricity being centrally generated and then transmitted across the grid to charge all the “zero emission vehicles”, plus battery drain, not to mention mining the rare minerals and transporting them all over the world for manufacture and distribution, probably releases more CO2 as if they were all just combustion vehicles

I suspect one day everyone will agree we had simply been wasting our time and resources on these things

Couldn’t agree more

In California they are penalizing people that use the grid. One item on the bill is literally a fee because you are getting your energy from outside of the state. They want everyone to go solar lmao.

Wut?! Really? I think CA authorities may be having their cake and eating it too on this... Pretty sure they have sweet preferential contracts for British Columbia power (BC also LARPS about the righteousness of their power use, recently put a moratorium on new bitcoin mines)

Grids are easy to weaponize and control populations

I agree right now.

Religious people about climate etc will NEVER agree. Their god is better than yours. Always.

Never try to win a religious argument. Just smile and walk away.

You are correct. I will never give up my diesel vehicles.

I’m already planning on moving from Washington state - highest diesel tax in the nation, assault rifle ban, planning on banning ICE vehicle by 2030, extremely commie state. Getting out ASAP.

I’d imagine a lot of people from CA and OR are making similar preparations.

I’ve had that same thought.

There are inefficiencies in combustion engines and transporting oil as well, and there can be economies of scale benefits for large electric plants, but building electric vehicle infrastructure is far from the carbon reduction tool that most people think it is.

That day has come and gone my friend. It's not being talked about in traditional media bc that sort of talk does not buy ad space on their outlets.
