True. I have been discouraged by coders in my family. Those voices belong in the past. Where should a noob with basic understanding of logic start?

Meant to ask on this question: what do you wanna make or achieve?

The dream would be to contribute to building a decentralized education protocol, with built in “academic” accreditation/QC mechanisms and its own fair economic model. Been pondering and flashing ideas only to realize it is huge.

Maybe, I could look into building a simple dApp that allows users to mint NFTs linked to their educational content. (If I understand properly that a NFT could act as a key of access to the content). This would help me tackled some unanswered question while I get my hands dirty with baby steps.

Yeah you’ve got VISION! You probably want to jump in with JavaScript, or some other object-oriented type of language. You’ll be needing a framework but def learn JS itself (Vanilla, as we call it) so you can really tweak things your way. Differs from person to person but I’d say a good 3-6 hours dedication 5-days a week of learning and tinkering will get u to proficiency in a year. Pick a project and try to build it, or get one off of GitHub and take it apart to see how it works.

Thanks you so much. Will get my hands dirty with JS. I have that amount of free time. I used to be a fairly fast learner, let’s see if I still got it. Any recommendations for content on the basics of JS is welcomed, before I go snoop around GitHub to find projects that achieve, in parts, what I have in mind,

Let me check my old YouTube playlists of vids I used to watch. I’ll link some to you.

Wow! Thanks a whole lot.

Yes — good to get going. Once u go down this road and then realize at some point “I’m a programmer” it’s an elated feeling. It’s WELL worth it!

Worst part. I saw the web when it was a small project at CERN. Never bothered to learn to code for it or anything else.

I wanted to make movies. I helped other people make theirs, never succeeded in making mine.

Now stuck at home with bad health, coding could be the right fit.

I did a bit of squandering of time (I kinda feel that way) with music, but mostly stuck w coding. What kind of stuff do you want to make though (with code)?
