Venerable Visarion, born in 1900, hailed from a humble peasant family. A monk at Sihastria Monastery, he later joined Neamț Monastery. Known for his gentle spirit, he was arrested in 1948 for his unwavering faith and imprisoned. Despite torture and attempts to renounce his beliefs, Visarion remained steadfast. He endured forced labor and starvation, never wavering in his devotion. He reposed in 1950, a testament to faith's endurance under persecution.
