Proton is better, but I still have to use Gmail for some things. It’s just so bad.

Proton suck. My account was flagged and closed for accessing it via VPN over Tor. Never got an answer fromsupportt. I caused a lot of trouble as I used the email as a fallback account. Fuck them!
Can’t lie. I am interested though. Anything I can to detatch myself from the surveillance grid.
I use protonmail. I haven't look closely, but I think it's open source.
Google is the devil.
