Unwarranted optimism? He’s already reduced the number of ministers from 19 to 9 and announced a wave of privatisation of public companies. But you don’t care, do you? I have already said I remain skeptic, I just refuse to be defeatist like you and negate even the possibility that he may follow through. I have also said I’m not waiting for any politician to save me and that what I appreciate is the cultural shift he’s produced in the public discourse.

For God’s sake, Libertarians, learn to take a win. Go out and do something! If (when) he fails to be a perfect textbook Rothbard reincarnation I’ll be the first to criticise it, but just dumping on him is what is unwarranted. You clearly have no idea and don’t give a shit about the situation in Argentina and the hope he’s generated. I can only wish for a similar phenomenon where I live, regardless of whether he’s perfect or he’s going to follow through. He may be an impostor, he may simply fail such is the disastrous situation.

But bitching is the easy path. As Gigi said, fuck easy. Have fun staying bitter.

You are the n-th dude to get triggered by me simply pointing out that he'll most likely disapoint, and to also get told I don't know "what the situation is over there." Sounds like a talking point to defend the next Fed colony.

Hope in politicians is not a method for happynes/success, and is not compatible with self reliance either. Hope generates a lot of traffic during elections, though, and those who pray on the weak-minded know this and use it regularly. Obama also created a lot of hope. It's not defeatism to know this game is a very old con, buf what do I know growing up in a soviet colony...

It’s really great that being in an ex soviet country deterministically prevents you from having hope. I repeat, I am not waiting for any politician to save me. I repeat, I’d rather have a fake libertarian in power that cuts the government than a socialist making up new rights and regulations. I’m sure it wouldn’t have made a difference at all when you were growing up… even you admit it fucked you up 😅 I’m glad I didn’t have to go through that and that the big con played to my favour.
