uropeans will never understand the American approach to individual freedom because they have always been, or still are, subjects of monarchies, totalitarian regimes, or strongly socialist governments. For a European, the state must always have the final say on the economy, security, and solidarity. Let’s hope this mentality changes soon, or we are destined for decline.
