Some crops are easy to save seeds from like a ripe tomato. Some seeds won't grow seeds until the second year, like root crops and most brassicas. It is important to understand the basics like the minimum number of plants to save seeds from. Some require a large number of seeds. And some of your garden crops will cross pollinate and mix different varieties.
