🚀📱 Guide: Install GrapheneOS – Step by Step

Some apps may not work properly or at all.

Be aware: Banking apps and Google apps in particular may cause issues or not work at all. Do your research first and know what you’re getting into. I take no responsibility for damages.

✅ Requirements:

🔹 A Google Pixel device (Pixel 6, 7, 8, 9).

🔹 A PC (Windows, macOS, or Linux).

🔹 A good USB-C cable.

🔹 Platform-Tools (ADB & Fastboot) installed on your PC:

✅ Browser with Web Installer: http://grapheneos.org/install/web

🛠️ Preparation on your Pixel:

1️⃣ Enable Developer Options

2️⃣ Enable OEM unlocking

3️⃣ Enable USB debugging

🚀 How to access Developer Options:

1️⃣ Open Settings

👉 Scroll down.

2️⃣ Go to About phone

👉 Tap it (bottom of the list).

3️⃣ Find Build number

4️⃣ Tap 7× in a row!

👉 After 7 taps, you’ll see:

“You are now a developer!”

5️⃣ Enter your PIN/Password

👉 If prompted, enter your lock screen PIN.

🔧 Developer Options menu appears here:

Settings → System → Advanced →

👉 Developer Options (new menu entry)

🔑 Enable the following inside Developer Options:

✅ OEM unlocking (to unlock the bootloader)

✅ USB debugging (so your PC can communicate via ADB)

⚡ Installation:

👉 Connect your Pixel via USB-C (original cable recommended).

👉 Follow the Web Installer step by step:

✔️ Unlock bootloader

✔️ Flash GrapheneOS images (with Platform Tools)

✔️ Lock bootloader again (recommended)

⏳ Time needed:

About 30–60 minutes in peace.

✅ Clean, secure system without Google dependency

✅ Updates directly from GrapheneOS

✅ You decide which apps to install
