Funny how Nostr is a lot more like Mycelium then Bitcoin is.

Mycelium:

1. There is no Global: it doesn't need a global consensus mechanism

2. There is a second best, there are billions

3. When you break a piece off, it "forks" and continues to grow

4. When different pieces come together, they're interoperable. But the one most suited for the context gains a larger market share

5. It is most active at the edges

6. It can survive without energy for ages if needed

7. It has a layered currency system built in (glucose, compounded sugars, promises of sugars, ...)

8. It is an unstoppable communication tool + market place and is mostly valued as such by other organisms

9. It is not a store of value at all, at best it can keep count of glucose or mineral tokens

I should dig deeper into this and write some more, as someone who was literally growing gourmet mushrooms professionally 2 years ago #mycology #nostr #mycelium
