We have a huge amount of work to do in that regard. I've got NIP-46 support slated for gossip 0.10, but I don't even know of any NIP-46 providers I can use to test it as I develop.

basically we need to make it easy for a custodial nostr but one where users own their keys and can leave the custodial identity service to self host or choose another service.
