i'm assuming a big amount of the folk here are consumers/lurkers more than creators. so whilst the lurker might advocate for the protocol, they might not see content that would gather their attention as much
TL;DR advocating for tech ≠ advocating for the content

Content creators that advocate for the tech without using it are the worst though. Shows their true motives.
