Friedman's first client in the 1970's was dictator Pinochet of Chile - who murdered 150,000 people.
Why didn't he speak out against government then? Obviously a chance at personal fame was more important to him than life and freedom
Indeed you take responsibility for your own actions. Not having to pass the responsibility to the government.
