Free kindle versions of Henry David Thoreau’s writings. I ‘bought’ all of Schopenhauer’s books available on Amazon just earlier today. Then I coincidentally saw the above note by Snowden posted a month ago. So much incredible literature available for free.

Seems the trick might be to search the name of an author (on Amazon) with ‘free kindle’ after it. That’s how I found Thoreau’s works.
