After some of the CT’s issues should I have picked one of the alternatives? Too early to say. If the recalls didn’t fix them or if new issues keep popping up then the answer is probably “yes.” If the competition’s trucks also have significant issues or if the CT has its issues sorted, then “no.”

Maybe I just assumed that most people buying them are doing it for status and not utility. I’ve seen my share of videos showing the problems with this “truck” including getting stuck in mud, electrical grounding issues, and system failures requiring a tow. If it works for you, great. I’m just always surprised to see people driving these things unironically.
I actually don’t like the attention. I usually am on some kind of mission while driving and don’t want to stop and chat about my vehicle. Especially when it’s negative attention.
