Isn’t there like a statute of limitation or some shit that prevents audits going back more than 7 years
They’re complaining about a tax return from 2017, so I guess 2024 was the last chance to pin him down for this.

And is it related to his business or is it just bitcoin capital gains?
I don’t think this has much to do with Bitcoin. He apparently misreported stuff for companies that he owned and that had to pay taxes in the US. Bitcoin is in the mix, but not the crux of the matter.
