it still looks disgusting, but might work

we need a symbol for sats that’s available on keyboards, and at least on Google Keyboard, it’s easy to type ‘₿’

Agree. Redenomination would be great. I've been thinking about this a lot recently. Exchanges would be the most reluctant, I think, since it'd open the door to risks of operational loss...

... and for that reason it'd be hard to move toward consensus.
