My parents live in a little home they bought together in the 80s. I visited them this evening and they’re happily playing board games together, with candles and blankets. Didn’t want to go to a hotel 💜

Sometimes I think about the inequities, knowing my parents live in an area where the power will be turned on last in the city, and it’s disheartening. At the same time, their love and togetherness is just unmatched.
