This has to stop at some point. I don’t know when or how, but it has to end. It makes me sick to see the mining mafia controlling Bitcoin this way. This is truly one of the biggest issues we haven’t figured out how to fix.

I think that is adoption takes place in the nation state level. Pools will be nationalized. If it goes hyper crazy then citizens will be incentivized to mine thru their national pool. Maybe.
